Moim zdaniem dużo, dużo bardziej smacznego pączka możemy zjeść w każdy inny dzień niż właśnie w tłusty czwartek, bo ze względu na duży popyt są one robione masowo, a co za tym idzie nie z tak dużą starannością jak w innym czasie... no dobra może dzień po tłustym czwartku też nie będzie taki smaczny 😉 Ale wszystko rozumiem, tradycja to tradycja, a my Polacy tak kochamy tradycje 😍 Wszystko jest dla ludzi - pamietajmy tylko o umiarze, trzymaniu się wyznaczonych celów i treningu w ten dzień również 💪 Ja być może zjem jednego, ale bardzo kusi mnie przygotować je samodzielnie w wersji pieczonej w domu. W ten sposób można zaoszczędzić wiele kalorii. 💫REST DAYS . As we dedicate this week to the importance of sleep💤, rest and relaxation, I decided to share with you a couple of routines which do just that and will be perfect for getting some movement on your rest days 🧘🏼 . 🙌🏻Rest days and breaks in your training allow your muscles, nerves, bones, and connective tissue time to recover and rebuild. . 🏃🏼‍♀️For athletes in training or anyone on a training program those rest days are essential and usually meticulously planned. . For me, as a mum and self employed, it’s something of a ad hoc depending of what the week looks like. I’ll train as and when I can, usually 3-4 times a week varying the types of exercises, and rest for the other days but always including some movement, walking, stretching, foam rolling…all very beneficial for us all for mind and body . My main piece of advice would be LISTEN TO YOUR BODY but keep moving! . 🎥Today’s video is great as a warm up to activate your glutes and to mobilise your hips. “What changed?” “How can I lose weight too?” “What’s your SECRET...?!” People always ask me when they ask about my weight loss! . The truth is change happens, when you truly live a healthy lifestyle! I’m a firm believer in, if you don’t handle the shit going on in your head... you’ll NEVER be healthy! Yes that may string, but it’s the TRUTH! . Nothing changes... if NOTHING CHANGES! My mindset with nutrition has ALWAYS been messy. I’d say things like “let me earn this cheat meal”, or “I’ll eat Reese’s all day and just workout extra hard at the gym.” . Truth is... that is NOT HEALTHY + DOES NOT WORK (trust me because I DID IT!) . Change happened I decided my health was worth it. When my autoimmune diagnoses were piling up, and I found myself gaining more and more weight.. I knew ENOUGH was enough + told myself I’d work from the inside out! Yes, I lost 45+ pounds but I gained a new sense of purpose, and passion for living a healthy lifestyle! . Day 6 of our weight loss challenge: Start a food and workout journal! 📒 . Writing helps declutter your mind and also helps you keep your life in track. In fact it can be a very useful tool is tracking your life. . Maintaining a journal does not only mean keeping a record of what you are eating but make it a daily journal. Include your daily steps, your diet, your cheat meals, your workout, your health updates, emotional updates, all in your journal. This will help you to review your day in a holistic manner. On days when you have walked less, and had more of a sedentary day, use your journal as a way to keep a check on your day. . Choose a diary that you can carry with you everywhere and add details as much real time as possible. On busy days, you can also add it before bedtime as that will be the best time to reflect upon the day and accordingly plan the next day. . Apart from adding simple daily notes, add additional thoughts to it. If you indulged in a cheat meal, add additional notes on why you feel you strayed from your health goals. Furthermore, you can set your goals and then monitor their progress with your entries. . To ensure you feel encouraged and it does not feel like a busy chore, buy interesting coloured pens, and designate a specific colour to each day. For example, use purple for a day when you worked out, ate well and felt happy. Use Red for the day you were not happy with your diet. . It is extremely important to be truthful - be as truthful as possible when you are making your entries. . I lost control of my health and that was the toughest part for me because I’m a health and fitness coach.. I’m supposed to have it altogether. . But I’m not perfect and I learned a few things that I’d to share because I don’t want another bride to make the same mistakes. . 1️⃣ Don’t allow everyone’s opinions or wishes to influence what YOU want for YOUR day. . Make it about YOU and YOUR future spouse and do not apologize for it. . 2️⃣ Set an intention to be present in every event including the day of. You won’t get these moments back. Bask in the celebrations! . Shit may hit the fan, you may have uncomfortable interactions with family members or friends or acquaintances, but it’s all for one goal! . 3️⃣ Please hire a wedding planner.. my life got 1000000x easier with @amymarieevents by my side. . Unless you have all the time in the world, you can’t do it all and you shouldn’t have to take on too much. I know I did in the beginning and I really wish I hadn’t! . Trying to people please was the biggest thing that took a toll on me mentally which expanded into my physical health... . In college one of my professors lent me a book, “Johnson’s War on Poverty.” I loved it. Did you know that President Johnson signed legislation to create Food Stamps, Medicare, voting rights, clean water and clean air? He said he wanted to be remembered as the president who helped the poor. Because of his legislation efforts the rate of poverty went from 20% to 12%. What a wonderful legacy. And wow did that spark something in me... — This is a throw back pic for me btw but marks a highlight in my journey to growing and moving to CA 🤍 — I truly am living my own dream. And people ask me how I stay so positive? My roommate asked me if I ever get sick of work... And my answer is because I feel SO incredibly lucky. And I love to work because I love my LIFE. I love my job of course, but I truly love my life and I feel blessed to be where I am. — — Coming from small town upstate NY, to living in Seattle working 2-3 jobs and going to school full time to now living my 15 year old LITERAL dream is crazy to think about. So what have I learned? I’m capable of a hell of a lot. And ANYONE is capable of creating the life they want if they are passionate enough about pursuing it. — - I do believe a lot of what’s changed in my life has been luck. But not in the way you may think. Luck in meeting amazing people who lift me up, inspire me, teach me, challenge me. Why do I LOVE lifting? Read above^ I've never been the sporty type of girl, the great at "outdoor activities" type or the girl who was proud of her body. I learned to accept my body the way it was because I thought that was as good as it would get. I accepted not being good at sports or doing outdoor activities because I thought that it just wasn't for me and I was too clumsy and unfit for it. Little did I know that weight lifting would change all this! Weight lifting makes me feel EMPOWERED, CAPABLE of things I thought I wouldn't be able to do. Weight lifting changes the CAN'T to CAN!
