Another map! The upper part dwarven city of Lorwald. .
Following the Goliath take-over of the previously Dwarven-occupied desert city of Starryhall, the Dwarves of Starryhall fled into the mountains. It was from here that they began to carve out what is now the largest Dwarven city in Reverie, directly underneath the Smithstone Mountains.
The founders of Lorwald may have initially used this mountain as an escape from the Goliath threat to the East. However, on their excavation of the mountain, they found an abundance of precious metals and gems, so far unseen outside of this location. Because of this, the Dwarves elected to found a city right beneath this colossal mountain range.
The city itself is located about three miles underground, with the only entrances being on the western side of the Smithstone Mountains. The Eastern entrance, which the founders of Lorwald carved out in their exodus, was collapsed on their entrance into the mountains. To this day, Lorwald stations guards at this collapsed entrance around the clock to keep guard for any potential Goliath invasions.
The city can only be reached by way of Lochacre to the west. From there, one can find an Eastward path directly to the grand entrance of Lorwald.
The citizens of Lorwald do not take kindly to outsiders as a general rule. However, as long as one has arrived in the city to conduct business, they should face very little aggression. This is, of course, with the exception of Goliaths. There is no warm welcome to be found in this city for any Goliath. .
